NETWORK ADMIN/ENGINEER at PMA -  PAX RIVER NAS

IMMEDIATE OPEN OPPORTUNITY AT PATUXENT RIVER NAS, MD

REQUIRED: TOP SECRET OR SECRET SSBI DOD SECURITY CLEARANCE

Five (5) years' experience with the deployment and administration of the following software:

  • Windows Workstation and Server Products
  • Microsoft Office products
  • Linux Operating Systems (Redhat Enterprise Linux) a plus but not required
  • Group Policy
  • Microsoft IIS
  • Apache Tomcat
  • McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • McAfee HIPS
  • McAfee VirusScan Enterprise
  • SQL Server
  • VMWare ESX
  • Active Directory Domain Structure (file shares, DNS, user accounts, etc).
  • Experience with infrastructure software.
  • Experience in the virtualization of hardware and software.
  • Understanding of a client certificate PKI architecture.
  • Experience providing user-level support.
  • Experience hardening IA-enabled systems.
  • Ability to perform some network administration (configuration managed switches).
  • Experience with the management and troubleshooting of IT hardware to include desktops, servers and laptops.

Experience with the follow DoD products or initiatives:

  • STIG
  • ACAS
  • HBSS
  • IAVM
  • PKI/PKE

Applies knowledge of Information Technology systems administration and the DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP)/ DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) to prepare and maintain IT systems in compliance with security requirements such as Security Technical Information Guides (STIGs) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs).

Utilizes security tools such as Retina and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Gold Disk to assess system security status and performs systems scanning and hardening activities.

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or engineering from an accredited college or university. An additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Must meet Information Assurance Technical (IAT-II) certification requirements of the Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, DoD 8570.01-M on Day 1 to include an operating system certification.
