Position: SQL Server DBA, Senior
Team: DBA
Location: Patuxent River, MD (preferred); Telecommute/Remote Eligible if greater than 50 miles from Patuxent River, MD but within the DC/MD/VA area (must onboard at Patuxent River for 2 weeks; must be willing to work onsite at Patuxent River at least 2 days per week – negotiable if 100% telework will be allowed after resource is fully integrated and trained within the team).

Job Description:

• Perform administration of SQL Server database engine, SQL Server Service Broker, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Perform database administration for SharePoint 2013 content databases.
• Ensure system availability, data integrity; monitor/troubleshoot backup and recoveries, performance, disk space, and network connectivity.
• Design and modify database objects (tables, schemas, indexes, and triggers); create/alter stored procedures and views
• Implement and operate SQL Server Services running on physical stand alone and clustered servers, and Virtual Machine environments.
• Assist in database administration of Oracle databases.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 8 years’ experience in SQL Server 2008/2012 database administration.
• Experience in performance tuning and query optimization required.
• Experience in Oracle database administration desired.
• Security+ certification required

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.

Security Clearance:
Active Top Secret/SSBI clearance preferred. Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret required.
