Clearance: Active Secret (Top Secret preferred)

Work Location: Remote with occasional on-site requirements (see COVID-19 procedures below)

The functional responsibilities of this position include:

Essential Functions:

  • Install, configure, upgrade and administer SQL Server database engine, SQL Server Service Broker, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Ensure system availability, data integrity; monitor/troubleshoot backup and recoveries, performance, disk space, and network connectivity
  • Provide troubleshooting and support for database instances in dedicated and multi-node clustered SQL Server environments.
  • Design and modify database objects (tables, schemas, indexes, and triggers); create/alter stored procedures and views
  • Occasional daily/evening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching is required
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications:

  • SQL Server 2014/2016 database administration experience required
  • Experience developing database objects such as stored procedures, triggers, constraints, and indexes required
  • Experience in performance tuning and query optimization required
  • CompTIASecurity+ certification required

Education/Experience: BS/BA degree and 10 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 14 years related experience OR HS and 16 years related experience.

Security Clearance: Active TS/SSBI clearance desired or active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI.

**COVID-19 Procedures: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however occasional on-site support at PAX may be required 1-2 days per week. Occasional evening/weekend support for upgrades/patching is required. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.
