Rollout Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer/ISSE Business Systems Expert to support the Joint Strike Fighter F-35 IT program support contract in Arlington (Crystal City), VA. The Senior Systems Engineer/ISSE Business Systems Expert will provide knowledge-based, information assurance and cybersecurity IT services to the F-35 JSF Virtual Enterprise network in support of the F-35 Program Office. This is an incredibly exciting position on a contract with a lot of years left!
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- IAT Level III baseline certification in the Security Provision Category in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program.
- Active Department of Defense (DOD) TOP SECRET/SCI Security Clearance
- Associates degree with 16 years’ experience or
- Bachelor’s degree with 14 years’ experience or
- Master’s degree with 10 years’ experience.
- Experience years should be in designing and developing organizational information systems or upgrading legacy systems, employing best practices when implementing security controls within an information system including software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques.
- Five (5) years of the foregoing total experience shall have been as a team leader or supervisor.
- Eight (8) years’ experience in system security Certification &Accreditation (C&A).
- Two (2) years’ experience in major defense acquisition programs.
- Eight (8) years’ experience in Vulnerability Assessment and/or Risk Analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
- Directs overall system level testing, ensures and coordinates security-related activities with information security architects, senior information security officers, system developers, information system owners, common control providers, and information system security officers utilizing application of RMF and NISPOM as related to Certification and Accreditation.
- Interfaces with air systems engineers to ensure F-35 IT systems meet with applicable governance policies.
- Has programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and guide the engineering development of modern systems.
- Employs systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems.
- Integrating, planning, coordinating, and facilitating information system related activities such as upgrade of hardware and software, program and system design development of computer network software, and implementation of internet and intranet site software.
- Assists in the upkeep, maintenance and security of networks.
