Rollout Systems is seeking a candidate for a full time position at Patuxent River MD. Naval Air Station (NAVAIR). The successful candidate will operate, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot a (multi-server) base of physical and virtual servers that provides critical data and information to cutting-edge researchers and war fighters around the world in high-visibility and high-availability systems. 3-5+ years’ experience as a Linux system administrator. Strong history of performing server hardware/OS/software installation and configuration.1+ years performing DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Additional knowledge in supporting DoD IA, C&A, CND requirements a plus. Relevant Certifications: Security +, Linux +.

• Maintain multiple domain networks and systems running a hybrid of Windows/Linux, engineering for high availability and maximum performance
• Maintain enterprise storage solutions across multiple systems
• Deploy and maintain VMWare virtualized assets across all networks
• Ensure all systems are up to date with the most current patches and kept within compliance within the customer requirements and regulations
• Perform troubleshooting of Windows, Linux, and virtualized systems as needed, leading problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations
• Advises customer on system engineering and architecture goals to include requirements development and review, testing and development, and system deployment
• Possess strong technical documentation and communication skills to streamline lab operations and engage with team management, other lab staff, external organizations, and customers.
• Possess solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, application layer protocols, load balancing/high availability design, and system architecture principles.
• Strong scripting/automation skills or database knowledge preferred
• Must possess a CompTIA Security + CE certification or equivalent certification which meets DoD 8570 compliance
