Software Tester/ Business Analyst, AirWorthiness Applications Team - NAS Patuxent River, MD

Active Secret DOD security clearance required. Interim secret clearance acceptable to start.

The Information Technology and Cyber Security provides Information Technology, Information Management, and Information Assurance products and services. The Applications Integration and Business Intelligence Division (7.2.2) is responsible for the day-to-day operations, development, sustainment and management of web-based applications and technologies; including MyNAVAIR, MyTeam, custom developed applications, document management solutions, workflow products, and document imaging/scanning. 7.2.2 is also responsible for providing products and services that encompass corporate management information systems, data warehousing, reporting, web applications, websites, and database/application hosting services to various Navy entities. Project teams perform application and database program requirements analysis, use cases, design, development, testing and implementation. Additionally, 7.2.2 is responsible for implementing software standards, new technologies used across NAVAIR, and operational processes.

The position responsibilities include:

• Analyze, document, troubleshoot, and test web sites and/or transactional applications
• Meet with customers to gather, document, and analyze requirements
• Convert requirements into epics, user stories, or features and input into Team Foundation Server (TFS)
• Work closely with software developers to ensure understanding of and adherence to requirements
• Compile/execute test cases/plans, conduct application testing, document test results, assist with determining software issue resolutions

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.

• 4 years of experience providing requirements analysis for large scale transactional applications
• Knowledge of or experience working in an Agile software development environment
• SQL experience preferred
• Experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar CM tool preferred
• Automated testing experience highly desired
