Position Description: Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies. Designs, implements, and conducts test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met. Develops, maintains, and upgrades automated test scripts and architectures for application products. Also writes, implements, and reports status for system test cases for testing. Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports. Serves as subject matter specialist providing testing know-how for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications. Directs and/or participates in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design and test tools selection. Assist in the upkeep, maintenance and security of networks; analyzes the computer and information needs of the organization from an operational and strategic perspective and determines immediate and long-range personnel and equipment requirements. Integrates, plans, coordinates, and facilitates information system related activities such as upgrade of hardware and software, program and system design development of computer networks, and implementation of internet and intranet sites.

Minimum Education Required: MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an Information Technology. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional six (6) years of experience with a BA/BS can be substituted for a MA or MS degree.

Minimum Experience Required:

• Ten (10) years’ experience with Systems Engineering disciplines and protocols to include comprehensive knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, micro-virtualization, mobile device management, Amazon Web Services, big data solution development.
• Certified as a CCNA, CCNP, MCITP, and/or MCTS.
• IAT Level II baseline certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, (or achieve within six months of TOA or hiring).

Security Clearance: Department of Defense Secret clearance based upon a SSBI or SSBI-PR completed within the past five years.
