The F-35 (Joint Strike Fighter or JSF) Lightning II Program is the Department of Defense's focal point for defining affordable next generation strike aircraft weapon systems for the Navy, Air Force, Marines, and our allies. Rollout Systems is seeking a Network Specialist/Technician with an HBSS (Host Based Security System) specialization to support the  Joint Strike Fighter F-35 IT program support contract in Arlington (Crystal City), VA. The HBSS Network Specialist/Technician will provide knowledge-based, information assurance and cybersecurity IT services to the F-35 JSF Virtual Enterprise network in support of the F-35 Program Office. This is an incredibly exciting position on a contract with a lot of years left!

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

IAT Level II baseline certification in the Security Provision Category in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program.

Active Department of Defense (DOD) SECRET Security Clearance


• BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or Engineering or 
Associates degree with 6 years’ relevant Cyber Security experience can be substituted for a BS/BA degree.
• Five (5) years’ experience with HBSS disciplines and protocols to include comprehensive knowledge of specific HBSS tasks.
• Three (3) years of recent relevant IA/CS experience.  

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

• Build, upgrade and maintain ePO v4.x and 5.x environments on networked and standalone systems.  
• Install McAfee agent and modules to servers and end user machines (e.g: MA, DLP, HIPS, PA,VSE, ACCM, MSME).  
• Maintain and administer ePO and all modules to meet the DoD mandated security requirements and directives. Configure and deploy McAfee HBSS Modules.  
• Create custom firewall policies and work with Cyber Security teams to identify, configure and apply host based IPS signatures to protect against zero-day threat.  
• Create HIPS exclusions based on customer demand and the C&A approval process.  
• Troubleshoot VM and SQL issues that conflict with the basic functionality of ePO.  
• Use MS EMET. 
• Perform and/or review technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established IA standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies.  
• Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. 
• Perform System monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. 
• Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.  
• Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. 
• May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
