TECHNICAL HELP DESK SPECIALIST, SECURITY+CE CERTIFICATION AND ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
Location: Arlington, VA (Crystal City, VA)

Security Clearance: Active DoD Secret

Full-Time Employee (no C2C or contract)

The F-35 (Joint Strike Fighter or JSF) Lightning II Program is the Department of Defense focal point for defining affordable next generation strike aircraft weapon systems for the Navy, Air Force, Marines, and our allies. The F-35 brings cutting-edge technologies to the battlespace of the future. The JSFs advanced airframe, autonomic logistics, avionics, propulsion systems, stealth, and firepower will ensure that the F-35 is the most affordable, lethal, supportable and survivable aircraft ever to be used by so many warfighters across the globe.

 

Rollout Systems is seeking an entry level technical help desk specialist to support the  Joint Strike Fighter F-35 IT program support contract in Arlington (Crystal City), VA. DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

  • Provide technical assistance to computer users.
  • Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically.
  • May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.
  • Responds to and diagnoses problems through discussion with users.
  • Ensures a timely process through which problems are controlled.
  • Includes problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps.
  • Supervises operation of help desk and serves as focal point for customer concerns.
  • Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
  • Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Provides second-tier support to end users for either PC, server, or mainframe applications or hardware.
  • Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem.
  • Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
  • Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems.

Minimum Education Required: AS/AA degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related IT discipline.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Five (5) years of directly related experience supporting help desk Tier 1 operations, preferably supporting a large-scale government customer.
  • One (1) year of IT Problem Solving/Troubleshooting experience.
  • One (1) year of experience with remote management tools.
  • IAT Level II baseline certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program

Security Clearance: Department of Defense Secret clearance
