Government Furnished Equipment Manager

This position supports PMA-266 Fire Scout Ground Control Segment Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) and Ship Integration and Installation Teams with logistics operations management that includes technical, administrative and operational management of assigned project tasks in the delivery of Government Furnished Equipment requirements. This position is located at Webster Outlying Field, MD.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide the IPTL with logistics operations management that includes acquisition and sustainment of the GFE required for VTUAV support
  2. Assists Ship Integration IPTLs and Ship Installation Team in identifying assets for ship installation, the tracking of shipment, identifying and acquiring unfilled GFE materials
  3. Coordinate and track all GFE utilizing DD Form 1149
  4. Ensure non-ready-for-issue (NRFI) material received from ship installation team are properly turned in for repair and reissued
  5. Maintains daily communications with On Site Installation Coordinator (OSIC) to determine daily and services requirements to include shipment of required and removed equipment
  6. Identify requirements and coordinate the transfer of Controlled Cryptographic (CCI) Items
  7. Assist Local Element (LE) in the management of ground control station EKMS/COMSEC material
  8. Identify assets for each hull with Ship Integration IPTLs
  9. Coordinate pick up & shipment of equipment with Patuxent River Supply Department
  10. Track all GFE contractual deliveries and receipts
  11. Update asset inventory in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  12. Update asset inventory in NAVSEA Advance Configuration Control and Engineering Status System (ACCESS)

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Arts required. 6 years of related work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. An Associate's Degree plus 4 years’ work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree
  2. 5-8 years of related work experience required

Skill and Abilities

  1. Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds occasionally
  2. Effective organizational skills
  1. Proficiency in the use of MS Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint
  2. Effective communication skills.

Preferred but not required

  1. Experience ERP
  2. Experience with ACCESS
