UI/UX DESIGNER to make an impact on new F-35 JSF IT 5-year contract

We are providing knowledge-based, information assurance and cyber security IT services to the F-35 JSF Virtual Enterprise (JVE) network in support of the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office (JPO). IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY for a UI/UX DESIGNER

Job Description

Rollout Systems is currently assisting a Navy client and we are looking for a UI/UX Designer to turn the client’s enterprise web site into an elegant, easy-to-use product for federal and international customers. Working closely with the product stakeholder the UI/UX Designer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing storyboards to describe the functionality, designing graphics elements, and building navigation components. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with designing website interfaces and wireframe tools. If you also have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications, we’d like to meet you.

Requirements:

• Transform wireframes and user workflows into high-fidelity mockups in Sketch and build clickable prototypes to communicate interactions
• Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into design solutions
• Organize and maintain a design library of UX specifications in collaboration with engineers and conforming and material user experience guidelines
• Communicate research findings and design solutions to product managers, customer success and engineers through written and oral presentations

Required Skills:

• BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field
• 6 years of UI/UX design in digital products and responsive web design
• Strong knowledge of best-of-breed tools (ie. Axure or InVision, Photoshop, and Illustrator) .NET and various design suites
• Ability to follow existing material design guidelines to create patterns
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (very important)
• Understanding of common software project management practices
• Understanding of common software development practices
• Able to work independently and on schedule

Secret clearance based upon a SSBI or SSBI-PR completed within the past five years.
