Description
Rollout Systems is currently searching for Software Developers, Senior level in support of Naval Air Weapons Center Training System Division (NAWCTSD) in Orlando, FL.
Position Description: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements. Maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
Required Education: B.S. in computer engineering or computer science. Master’s degree preferred.
Required Experience: Candidate must have approximately 7 or more years of experience with software development and software systems engineering for modeling and simulation; 3 years of experience with a DoD program(s) that support training and training systems acquisition; and 3 years of government acquisition experience. Requires a broad knowledge of software engineering functions including: requirements development, configuration management, quality assurance, testing, reliability and maintainability, cost estimating, risk analysis, metrics, and human factor integration. Experience with software development conducted IAW IEEE-12207. Must possess basic but broad knowledge of current and developing military equipment and systems. Must have a working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, Military Standards, DOD/DON/ NAVAIR policies, directives, and instructions and must know the application of these documents to assignments. Must have broad and detailed working knowledge of software and technical Military and Commercial Standards (e.g. MIL-STD, DOD-STD, IEEE, ISO, and ANSI).
Required Certification(s): Per SECNAV M-5239.2 Appendix 4. Specialty Area: Software Engineering/ Development (621) Expert Proficiency Level.
Clearance Level: Active Department of Defense SECRET Clearance required.
