Rollout Systems LLC. a National Information Technology Solutions company is looking for an Oracle DBA - in support of the NAWCWD AWIS contract. This is a highly visibility position on a premiere NAVAIR contract in support of the overall Oracle 11g Database Center.

Position requires active DOD Secret Security Clearance. No exceptions.

This position will be responsible for:

• Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle 11g server software and related products.
• Use Oracle’s SQL and PL/SQL languages, including writing packages, procedures, functions, and triggers. proficient with Oracle’s database admin tools / backup utilities such as RMAN.
• Apply Oracle Database Proactive Bundle Patches (DBBP) and OJVM patches to database servers and databases as they become available to maintain database security.
• Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures utilizing native tools and best practices as well as Data Pump and evolving technologies.
• Implement and maintain database security utilizing DoD (Department of Defense)/ DoN (Department of Navy) STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) and best practices.
• Perform database tuning and performance monitoring utilizing AWR, Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g, SQL Developer and TOAD.
• Setup and maintain documentation to conform to DoN/DoD standards.
• Provide guidance and recommendations for capacity planning through sustainment and migration phases of projects.
• Create database design and architecture documentation to support current and future Oracle database requirements.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide documented guidance for resolution.
• Assist Development with database setup and configuration.
• Knowledge of Solaris x86 would be helpful
• Ability to take ownership of database issues and manage through resolution.
• Ability to consistently meet, exceed expectations and incorporate customer service into all aspects of work. Required Skills
• Must have an active Secret DoD security clearance with SSBI;
• Certification: Security + CE (required) or CISSP
• Associate 11g certification (required)
• Have strong interpersonal skills in a team-based development environment;

Skills

• Strong level understanding utilizing Oracle databases within a mixed server environment.
• Strong understanding of operating system environment.
• Ability to perform both Oracle performance tuning and monitoring.
• Strong level understanding for deploying Oracle backup and recovery scenarios.
• Strong understanding of Oracle security management within a DoD environment.
• Experience database change management and data management through the various stages of the SDLC.
• Ability to effectively communicate with management, development teams, and colleagues.
• Ability to document objective evidence of projects such as database installations, etc.
• Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work, both on their own and that of project team. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.

Required Experience

• Position requires a minimum of 6 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
