Position Description:
Provides the implementation, maintenance, and support of company Audio/Video systems. Provides technical support on local groupware replication and client dial-up access issues. Operates bridge management application to provide connectivity of conference calls at variable data rates so as to balance quality of connection with the customer’s demand signal. Ensures all hardware and software is maintained in compliance with current DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) mandates. Documents system designs, network designs, test plans, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), procedures, Standard Operating Procedure’s (SOP’s) for new projects including cost estimates. Coordinates with other sites, customers, contractors, and other DoD agencies as needed to support project planning and implementation. Assists A/V conferencing technicians on the execution of conference related needs via phone, e-mail, or face- to-face requests. Understands network, security, and video engineering.

Minimum Education Required: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Science or related IT discipline.

Minimum Experience Required:

· Four (4) years of experience in providing support and facilitating the execution of conference related needs via phone, e-mail, or face-to-face requests.

· Two (2) years of the four years’ experience supporting the installation of communications infrastructure to include evaluating, designing, testing, documenting, installing, implementing, performing problem isolation and resolution, monitoring, tuning, setting standards and maintaining a range of Audio/Video (A/V) and VTC components and systems as well as communications infrastructure.

· Two (2) years of the four years’ experience support providing analysis and design for improved planning for upcoming requirements and enhancements to a current and future environment.

· Industry certifications in one or more of the following A/V systems (i.e. Polycom, Tandberg, Cisco, Avaya, or Microsoft, etc.).

· IAT Level II baseline certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, (or achieve within six months of TOA or hiring)

Security Clearance: Department of Defense Interim SECRET clearance is acceptable to start. A FINAL SECRET CLEARANCE IS PREFERRED.
