Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (IA) Lead

Security Clearance Level Required: Active Secret Clearance Mandatory


Description of Position:

The Cybersecurity and IA Lead shall serve as a team leader for the support of tasking that involves the analysis of the IA posture of  networks and systems in support of system certification and accreditation. This support would include analysis of networks/systems; development of secure networks/systems; and integration, testing, and maintenance of the networks/systems. Responsible for leading the development of system IA documentation to support certification of compliance to applicable standards including the DoD IA Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), Risk Management Framework (RMF), Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCID) 6/9, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 503. The Cybersecurity and IA Lead develops, participate in, and provides Information Security training and awareness.

Required/Desired Education:

BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field.

Years of Experience:


Seven years of computer security experience in a secure network.


Desired Experience:

  • Seven years of system design, analysis, procedure/test generation, test execution and implementation of computer/network security mechanisms experience.
  • Five years of experience applying knowledge of policies, regulations, and executive orders in the marking, handling, and dissemination of classified material and information and creation and use of Security Classification Guides (SCGs).
  • Five years of experience implementing information security policies and procedures to process and protect DoD classified information.

Required Skills/Certifications:

  • Demonstrated experience implementing project management principles and managing, tracking, and coordinating a wide range of actions, documents, and tasks through completion
  • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).

Job Location:  Patuxent River, MD and St. Inigoes, MD

Occasional travel to Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) locations.
