WEB/​SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

Supporting  PAX River Applications team and managing Web Servers. 
Hybrid Opportunity -  On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Initial training will be mostly virtual, but may require occasional on-site visits a few hours per week during the first few months. On-site support is required 1-2 days per month, as well as occasional evening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching.

Active Top Secret clearance is required to start. May consider Active Secret with immediate application for Top Secret.

Position: Web/System Administrator (Windows/Unix)

Team: WebAdmin

Work Site: Patuxent River, MD

Work Location: This is a HYBRID position. Candidates must reside within 90 miles of Patuxent River, MD (see on-site requirements below).

Position Type: Full-Time

On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Initial training will be mostly virtual, but may require occasional on-site visits a few hours per week during the first few months. On-site support is required 1-2 days per month, as well as occasional evening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching.

Essential Functions:

• Performs the installation, integration, configuration, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, security implementation, and configuration management of websites and application systems hosted on Windows and Unix-based servers
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to server and software issues
• Provides direct support through a ticketing system to application owners, developers, government entities and related internal and external teams
• Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications:

• Unix web/systems administration experience required
• Windows web/systems administration experience required
• Installation/configuration of web and application server software required
• Troubleshooting of server/software issues required
• CompTIA Security+ certification required (must provide proof of certification)
•  Knowledge of DISA STIGS and Security Policies desired

Education/Experience: High school and 4 years related experience required.

Security Clearance: Active TS/SSBI clearance desired or active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI.
