ISSO (Information Systems Security Officer) - Immediate Need - Signing Bonus Eligible

Immediate consideration of qualified candidates who meet clearance, certification, education, and experience requirements is outlined below.  

ISSO will p
erform a variety of Information Assurance activities including but not limited to:

  • Implement the security program and policies for assigned Information Systems.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.
  • Monitor all available system resources that provide warnings of vulnerabilities or ongoing attacks and report them to the ISSM.
  • Provide inputs to the ISSM (as needed) to support the RMF Body of Evidence artifacts
  • Provide inputs to the ISSM (as needed) to facilitate the Security Controls Assessment.
  • Assist the ISSM (as needed) with the creation of the Security Assessment Report.
  • Provide Plan of Action and Milestones inputs to the ISSM (specifically resources required, scheduled completion date, milestones with completion dates, and milestone changes).
  • Execute the Continuous Monitoring Plan and document the results. Provide the results to the ISSM.
  • Review/analyze Audit Logs.
  • Perform compliance/vulnerability scans (e.g., ACAS, NESSUS, SCAP, STIG checks) to validate that the system has properly updated, and report the results to the ISSM.

 

Notify the ISSM of any changes to the system that could affect the authorization

CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATION:

A Bachelor’s Degree and one to three (1-3) years of experience in related information assurance or system administration work is required.


IAT II OR IAT III Certification

Six (6) years of additional related work experience or an Associate’s Degree and four (4) years of additional related work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.

The selected applicant must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in RDT&E environments.

 

An active DoD Top Secret clearance is required to start. Applicants selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
