JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking a highly motivated and driven Oracle Database Analyst to work Onsite supporting enterprise IT for our War-fighter customer who upholds America's status as the "Land of the Free" every day, at work, or at play.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide all activities related to the administration of computerized databases
• Project long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function
• Conduct quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data
• Advise users on access to various client/server databases
• Design, implement, and maintain complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods
• Apply knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end (e.g., COGNOS)/back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL)
• Perform database programming and supports systems design
• Perform maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design
• Perform Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) and Quality Control/Quality Assurance
• Coordinate changes to computer databases
• Perform patching and STIG'ing for SQL databases
• May plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases

 

REQUIREMENTS

• 6+ years database administration, database security and integrity
• Design, create, and maintain databases in a client/server environment
• Administer, test, and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems
• Experience in database design and creation using best practices, importing, exporting, indexing, back-up, data processing, and database management
• Experience in programming and writing scripts in MS-SQL, T-SQL or UNIX, development, and management
• Integrate data from various files, including Microsoft Access, Excel, SQL, and Oracle

 

 

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION(s)

• CompTIA Security+ CE
• (451) System Administrator (Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced) or Database Administrator (Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced)

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE

• Active Secret Security Clearance

 

EDUCATION

• BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an Information Technology. Allowable Substitution: 6 years of related experience or 4 years of related experience with an AA/AS degree

COMPENSATION

The likely salary range for this position is $116,979 - $138,000 annually. This is not, however, a guarantee of total compensation or salary or any other compensation offered. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Rollout Systems offers a variety of benefits including health insurance with domestic partner coverage, company-funded health savings account and life and disability insurances, 401(k) matching, 401(k) profit-sharing, education assistance, paid time off, and paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, location, and schedule type.
