This contract will involve the development and integration of aircraft systems, mission systems, and support systems, including software and mission systems, and laboratory hardware. The scope will include software program generation and software and hardware integration, along with the development of test devices and systems that support system test and integration, such as weapon system simulators and trainers. Such test devices and systems may include non-intrusive hardware/interface monitoring devices and the software/systems that analyze the data extracted/generated.

 

In addition to the above bullet points, as a System Administrator at the Senior (or possibly Journeyman, depending on years of experience) level, you will:
 

  • Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
  • Monitor networks to ensure network availability to all system users.
  • Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination. 
  • Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems.
  • Perform maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.
  • Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
  • Optimize the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems.
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans and capabilities.
  • Plan for authorized service interruptions and outages.
  • Respond to unexpected or unauthorized service interruptions and outages.
  • Diagnose software and hardware failures to resolution.
  • Implement and ensure security preventive measures are fully functioning.
  • Test operating system and software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes.
  • Support a National Priority Program where no two days will be the same.

Required Experience:
  • Active Top Secret Clearance - US Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical Discipline.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in system administration, performing the duties described above for this position. 
  • Operating System certificate (i.e. Windows or Linux) and COMPTIA Security + or other DOD INST 8140 or 8570 compliant Level II or Level III qualification, ie. Security+, CISSP, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP.
  • Knowledge of networking principles, theories, and concepts and ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative principles and concepts.
